Con LAPLAND ESCAPE abbiamo fatto l’escursione di caccia all’aurora boreale con bbq ed è stata una bellissima esperienza, le guide Mario ed Anita sono state gentilissime, ci hanno raccontato aneddoti riguardanti l’aurora boreale, ci hanno coinvolti e ci hanno portati in più punti panoramici e alla fine siamo riusciti a vedere l’aurora boreale!!! Anita mi ha aiutata con i miei bambini, mi ha fornito due coperte per tenerli al caldo, è stata molto gentile! Siamo molto contenti e se torneremo a Rovaniemi faremo altre escursioni con loro!!!

Jakub odebrał nas spod apartamentu i towarzyszył na przez cały czas. Tłumaczył dzieciom to czego nie rozumiały i generalnie przez cały czas był pomocny. Wszystko nam się podobało i z przyjemnością polecamy Lapland Escape. Jakub zorganizował nam również przejażdżkę skuterami śnieżnymi w zaprzyjaźnionym biurze.

Nobody can control nature. That’s why we don’t promise what no tour can promise.

But you can protect your booking with our optional Aurora Guarantee.

If the aurora is not seen and you have purchased the Aurora Guarantee, choose between:

a second tour free of charge, subject to availability.
or a refund of your ticket, excluding the cost of the Aurora Guarantee.

Before departure, your guide monitors the weather, cloud cover and aurora activity to choose the best route for the evening.

We don’t stay in one place all night. If conditions change, we move in search of clearer skies, away from the lights of Rovaniemi.

Our goal: to find the best available conditions for seeing the Northern Lights.

FAQ: Your Doubts Answered

The experience lasts for about 3.5 hours

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. During the tour, your guide monitors the weather, cloud cover and Aurora forecasts and selects the locations with the best available conditions to maximise your chances of seeing them.

You can add the optional Aurora Guarantee Protection when booking. If the Northern Lights are not seen during your tour, you can choose between a full refund of your tour ticket, excluding the guarantee fee, or a second Aurora tour free of charge, subject to availability. The guarantee must be purchased when booking and at least 14 days before departure.

The tour departs from Rovaniemi. We’ll pick you up at the agreed location and head towards the areas selected by your guide according to the evening’s weather conditions. Your exact pickup time will be confirmed on the day of the tour by email or WhatsApp.

The experience lasts approximately 3.5 hours, including transportation, stops in the wilderness while searching for the Aurora and the campfire break.

Yes. You can cancel free of charge up to 3 days before departure. After this deadline, a 100% cancellation fee applies.

Yes. The tour is available in Italian, English and Spanish. You can select the available language when booking.

Yes, this activity is suitable for families. We make a fire where children can stay warm, and they can also wait in the vehicle if they get too cold.

Yes. Pickup and drop-off at your accommodation are included in the tour. The exact pickup location and time will be confirmed before departure.

We recommend warm winter clothing, including thermal layers, a hat, gloves, warm socks and insulated winter boots. If you don’t have suitable gear, winter overalls can be pre-booked online with us.

Activity Terms & Conditions

Departure time: The tour departs anytime between 18:00 and 21:30, depending on weather conditions and forecasts. You will receive the pickup time on the same day of the tour via email or WhatsApp.

Cancellation Policy: The booking can be cancelled for free up to 3 days before departure. After that time a cancellation fee of 100% will apply.

For groups with fewer than 5 participants, transportation may be arranged in a standard 5-seater vehicle instead of a minivan.

We aim to operate all tours as scheduled. In rare cases of low participation, we will offer an alternative date, experience, or full refund.

The presence of the Northern Lights and refund eligibility are determined by our guide and supporting camera photos taken during the tour. Brief or weak appearances that are only visible by camera, but not clearly visible to the naked eye, do not qualify for a refund. If no Aurora Guarantee Protection is purchased, the Northern Lights cannot be guaranteed and no refund will be issued in case of no appearance. The free second tour option is subject to availability. If no alternative date is available, only the refund mentioned above will be granted. By completing the booking, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
