This experience is designed to give you a glimpse of that lifestyle, where time moves differently and the focus is on presence rather than speed. Your guide will also share interesting insights about Lapland’s nature, wildlife, and local traditions, giving you a deeper understanding of life in the Arctic.
During the day, you’ll also carve your own traditional kuksa (wooden cup), a symbol of northern culture once used daily by locals, and take it home as a meaningful souvenir.
In summer, ice fishing is replaced with berry picking in the forest, following another long-standing local tradition and offering a different but equally authentic way to connect with nature.

Winter temperatures in Rovaniemi typically range from around -5°C to -20°C, although colder periods below -30°C can occasionally occur. Thanks to proper winter clothing, most visitors stay warm and comfortable while enjoying outdoor activities. If you don't have suitable gear, with us you can rent high-quality winter overalls.
